2021
As part of the Tallinn Maritime Museum project, one of the largest scaffolding structures in the Baltics was built, featuring an exceptionally large-span temporary roof structure without additional intermediate supports.
The roof span exceeded 56 metres, significantly surpassing the approximately 40-metre span provided for in standard Layher solutions. Double roof trusses and individually developed load calculations were used for the project.
The total temporary roof area exceeded 7,000 m². Given the scale of the structure and its location directly on the seafront, more than 500 tonnes of ballast, a specially designed anchoring solution and a cable system were used to ensure stability.
Layher's prompt technical support and the delivery of specialised components in large quantities within a short timeframe also made a significant contribution to the successful execution of the project.
The total volume of scaffolding used for the project amounted to more than 30 full truckload (FTL) semi-trailers.
